Gaming
There has been a huge increase in the user base in video games due to the free time and the access to hardware that can handle games.
This leads to a question.
What is gaming?
Is it a form of entertainment or is it a threat to the new generation
Gaming
With the ability to play with your friends who are on the other side of the world whole talking to them or making new ones
Gaming surely is an amazing source of entertainment but that’s if everything is under control
“Earlier research found that 35% of U.S. residents surveyed said that video games were the most entertaining media activity, while television came in second with 18% saying it was most entertaining.“

Students are the category that plays the most video games so let’s see how video games have affected their social life
“Students felt that gaming had mostly positive, and few negative, effects on their social lives. Most college student gamers seem to associate positive feelings with gaming, such as “pleasant” (36%), “exciting”(34%), and “challenging” (45%). Fewer students reported feeling frustrated (12%), bored (11%), or stressed (6%) by gaming. Specifically, students cited gaming as a way to spend more time with friends. One out of every five (20%) gaming students felt moderately or strongly that gaming helped them make new friends as well as improve their existing friendships. When asked if gaming has taken away time they might spend with friends and family, two-thirds of respondents (65%) said gaming has had little to no influence in this regard. Gaming also appears to play a surrogate role for some gamers when friends are unavailable. Nearly two-thirds (60%) of students surveyed agreed that gaming, either moderately or strongly, helped them spend time when friends were not available.”

“A January 2021 survey found that gamers in China spent the most time playing games per week, averaging about 12.39 weekly hours of gaming time. Vietnamese gamers were ranked second with about 10.16 hours of gaming time per week. The global average was 8.45 weekly hours of gaming.”
A Threat?
Due to the presence of beautiful art and the adrenaline u get while playing games, gaming surely can get addictive which makes it a global threat.
Like the saying “Too much is Too bad”.
The best way to enjoy your gaming sessions is to
Set a time limit-
This is a variable that depends on your avg screen time, if you tend to spend most of your time on a screen then it’s recommended to play some physical games instead and have a minimal video games screen time for example about 4-6 hours a week.
However, if your work/study is more physical then having an 8-10 hour-a-week mark won’t affect you.
Having Break-
Now that u have set an X hour limit a week
You shouldn’t be working/studying during your weekdays and sit on your Saturday or your Friday night and play X hours
It’s recommended splitting your limit equally i.e if your schedule lets you or take breaks often
Remember its a game-
Always remember it’s just a game if you are feeling too stressed then you can always shut it down.
There’s no need to get mad at your teammates and remember being toxic might look fun but all your doing is being a doushebag and hurting ppl online and without knowing your also making yourself more aggressive and toxic which will affect you in the long run.
Children who play video games for up to an hour a day are less hyperactive, more social and happier than those who don't play at all, according to an Oxford University study. According to me playing games is good but it should be in a limit.
